K2 Xplorer skis are brand new for 2009 and they are going to make an immediate impact on how people feel about mid waist skis. With an 84mm waist and the K2 Xplorer will want to explore the entire mountain from backcountry to groomers. Al's Ski Barn had the pleasure of testing this ski. Although it is narrower than most skis that we enjoy it was one of the biggest winners at the ski demo. It was versatile in all ski conditions and was amazingly quick edge to edge on the groomers as well. The K2 Xplorer skis felt like they were gripping the snow in every turn and you never lost confidence in the skis ability. This is one of the best new skis of the year.

The new K2/MX binding system offers more direct contact to the ski then any prevois system. If you want more power to the edge for unmatched precision and control then look no further than the new K2/Marker MX ski binding system.
