The Volkl Katana Ski returns for 2009 with an updated graphic. With very little to approve upon the Volkl Katana ski has only received an updated graphic. Volkl uses powder channel technology and no camber to get the Volkl Katana ski to be one of the most versatile on the market. The Katana ski was one of our biggest surprises last year at Al's Ski Barn. It was amazing how well this ski would ski even on the hardest of conditions. The Volkl Katana Ski has virtually no camber at all. Volkl claims mini rocker, but it has even less than K2 Obesthed mini rocker. One of Al's Ski Barn's Top Picks.

Volkl's Take:
The Volkl Katana features a top end wood core and vertical sidewall construction, with two sheets of titanium. Although it has 111 mm waist, the most unique feature on the Katana, is the powder channel. The powder channel allows us to provide the right quality of a swallowtail design all still allowing the skier to ride switch. The Katana comes with a slight rocker for easy smearing in powder. Other details include the Volkl logo edge anchors and honeycombed sidewall graphics with custom printing.
