Al's Ski Equipment Barn is glad to see when a company finally sees the light and gets on board with newer technology. Atomic has done this with the 2012 line of skis including the Atomic Atlas. We were very impressed with the improvements that Atomic Skis has made with their entire Freeride series of skis starting last year with replacing the Big Daddy with the Atomic Atlas Skis. The Atlas has a 115mm waist in the 182cm length and a 125mm in the 192cm length. Also new Atomic la couple years ago is the full tip to tail woodcore giving the ski much more energy and power in the backcountry. If you are looking for a big mountain ski to stick those big straightlines and big drops look no further than the 2011 - 2012 Atomic Atlas skis with Power Rocker. Power Rocker is rocker, or an early rise of the shovel, in the tip only which provides optimal directional flotation. Traditional camber underfoot and through the tail of the ski creates powerful finishes to turns and stable landing platform on large drops.
