What more can be said about the Kastle MX88 that hasn't already been said by every major magazine test around the world. This is the most highly decorated ski in recent memory, and once you ski the MX88 you'll be hooked too. The ski has no speed limit and has boundless energy coming out of the turn, long or short radius, on any surface.
Superior Technology and construction separate Kastle and the MX88 from the rest of the crowd. Start with the Ash/Silver Fir wood core offering weight reduction without sacrificing stability combined with a top and bottom layer of 0.5mm Titanal for power and dampening. The attention to detail is amazing, a rubber top sheet layer and rubber at the edges quiet the ride while the durable ABS sidewall delivers all of your energy to the edge. Kastle dumps so many features into the MX88, almost to many to mention, but one of our favorites is Top-Foil, a layer added to the top sheet that protects the ski from opposing edge and other potential damage.
Al's Ski Equipment Barn's testers were blown away by the precision of the MX88 and the ease of changing up turn shapes whenever called upon. We figured that it must be Kastle's unique Dual Radius Piste Geometry. The tip of the ski has a short turn radius geometry and the tail has a wider turn radius geometry allowing the MX88 to deliver performance in all turn shapes.
Ski Magazine, Skiing, Ski Press, Freeskier, and the testers her at Al's Ski Barn all agree; the Kastle MX88 is the frontrunner in the 90mm and under Freeride category.
