The 2014 Line Mr. Pollard Opus Skis are back with an all new graphic. If you are looking for a One Ski Quiver Ski that is a little more powder oriented then go with the Mr. Pollard Opus, if you want something that will be used more 50/50 for on and off piste then you may want to consider the Line Sir Francis Bacon, especially since they are now making that ski in the 190cm length. We here at Al's Ski Barn love both the Opus and bacon and would rarely ever try and talk anyone into any other ski that is how confident we are in the Line Freeride Skis. If you want a stable big mountain ski then get the 192cm length Opus as it has a stiffer more beefier flex patter yet is still just as playful as its smaller versions, but with even more dampness when cruising at high speeds or in deep powder.
*Line for 2014 has added a new mounting line at -60mm for both the Bacon and Opus skis, however we at Al's Ski Barn would never suggest mounting either of these skis any place other than Eric's Choice mark at -20mm. When you order and have us mount we will mount at the -20mm mark unless you tell us otherwise in the comment section at checkout. Please call 1-877-865-0740 if you have any questions.
Eric Pollard is known as one of the top ten influential skiers of all time and a large reason for that is thanks to his incredible vision that he has for the sport both the skiing and designing aspect. Eric has progressed the sport more than anyone since the late Shane McConkey. With his revolutionary designs such as the Elizabeth, EP Pro, Sir Francis Bacon to now the most revolutionary ski that Eric has ever created the 2013 Mr. Pollard's Opus Skis.
Eric has squeezed all of his knowledge & experience gained over the past 15 years developing skis with Line engineers & riding pow to create his Opus. Once again making the previously impossible, even more possible in pow.
We at Al's Ski Barn get to test skis in advance of purchasing and when it came to the Line Mr. Pollard's Opus Skis was one of our top 3 favorite. Once Adam got on them it was over, he never took them off and was found skiing everything from powder, ice, bumps, crud, corn but most often you found him making laps in the trees just killing it. If there is one thing he would change it is he would like it to be made in a 192cm length, and for 2013 and 2014 this dream came true!! The rumor is no longer, it is official Line is making the Mr. Pollard Opus Skis in the 192cm length! Don't be afraid to get the 185cm or the 192cm length in this ski, because of the design it has the agility of a short ski with the stability of a stiff ski. At 5'6" and 185lbs Adam would not even come close to considering anything shorter than the 185cm length. Remember a 17.2m turn radius in the 185cm length is all the versatility you need!
These skis come with the Marker Griffon Bindings. Both skis and bindings are brand new.
