The Apache series is billed being the ultimate all mountain ski for all snow conditions. A common claim amongst the leading brands, so will the K2's live up to the claim? The K2 Crossfire has changed from a radial sidecut to a progressive sidecut.

Progressive sidecut has different curve shapes along different parts of the ski. Starting at the tail, as you move up the length of the ski to the tip, sidecut progressively increases. What this results in is the confident, quick initiation we desire for hard snow performance at the tip of the ski through underfoot, but with more forgiving, less aggressive turn shape from underfoot through the tail, allowing easier release in crud and powder.
