Line continues to offer the Fish Shapes or what they now call Concept Shapes and with that they have taking the most popular of these the 2027 Line Sakana All Mountain, freeride, freestyle, powder skis and have made it even more versatile than it had been before. Adam here at Al's Ski Equipment Barn has been using this ski for many years as his go to firm snow ski when he wants to go fast and charge hard turns. Compared to the older Sakana the biggest difference was that because of the slightly more turned up tail the new 2027 Line Sakana Skis skied even better switch than they ever did before making them more playful when wanting to go hit some jumps and park laps. If you are looking for a wide all mountain ski that can also carve on a dime the Line Sakana is an excellent choice. We are always surprised at how nimble this ski is even in the moguls and tight trees with it having such a large shovel, but Line has always been a company that has designed skis that are beyond logic and if you are looking for a ski like that consider some of their Concept model skis.

LINE's Take:
An icon ski gets rowdy. We took the surfy, swallowtail feel of the original Sakana and rebuilt it for skiers who hit rails, spin side- hits, and stomp in the park. Now with a slightly kicked-up tail for smoother switch landings, plus Thick-Cut Sidewalls, Bio-Resin, and Thin Tips for durability that shrugs off rails and laps for days. Same carve-weird, slash-happy energy. Just tougher. Just more freestyle.

Concept Shape: Open up a new world of possibilities with the concept collection. From the all new Poisson to the updated Sakana and Pescado, the Concept Collection represents skis that break the mold of traditional ski design. These skis are unique iterations of how we believe you can have more fun going down the mountain. Whether you want to rip early morning groomers, slushy park laps, or endless pow days, there are no rules for riding the Concept
Collection. These skis are designed to help you open new lanes of creativity on the mountain.

You can ski these skis a little shorter than your regluar skis as they have more running length with a ski that has a full tail.
