Line Concept Collection Series of skis for 2027 has completely come up with a brand new design that is unlike anything they have ever built before. Take the Line Influence 105 and merge it with the Line Pescado and Sakana and you get the 2027 Line Poisson. If you want to know how to pronounce Poisson it is "PWA-SAWN". If you want a hard charging sturdy all-mountain freeride ski that has a more surfy and slashy feel when you get into deeper snow the Line Poisson checks all those boxes. Be sure to check out all the feature descriptions of the Line Poisson below and see if this is the rifht ski for you. We at Al's Ski Barn really loved the way it charged through slush bumps in the spring while still being nimble enough to slash when the corn go thick. We were surprised at how well it carved up the groomers early morning for its design and shape. With both titanl and carbon there is no lack of dampness and energy in this ski.

LINE'S TAKE:
The Poisson doesn't pick sides-it rips both. We mashed the Gas Pedal Metal guts of the Blade with the swallowtail soul of the Sakana, then hacked in a surf-inspired Step Tail built to slash and drift on command. Knife it across a firm groomer and it locks in, point it down a claustrophobic shoot and it holds steady, drop it in deeper stuff and it breaks loose. Bomber. Slashy. Stupid-fun.

Line has come up with some all new features in the 2027 Poisson Skis and we are super exited for skiers that are looking for a more hard charging big mountain freeride ski that at the same time has a surfy playful feel thanks to the stiffness underfoot and softer tip and tail design. Read about the different features the Poisson has and see if this is the right ski for your needs.

TITANAL SHAPE - PRECISION MEETS PLAY: The 2027 Line Poisson's metal laminate merges the Blade's Gas Pedal Metal feel with the Optic's Overdrive tech-but stylized to match this ski's freeride DNA. A full strip of titanal underfoot locks in stability, while segmented flanges in the tip and tail free up the ski's flex for more energy and liveliness. Underfoot: full metal = stability + confidence. Tip/Tail: broken strips = flex + energy. Subtle edge bias: adds grip without making the ski overly critical. Result: the Poisson sits between the Optic and Blade in stability, giving you precision for hard charging, but a more forgiving, slash-friendly ride in variable snow.

STEP TAIL - THE SLASH TRIGGER: Borrowed from surfboard design, the Step Tail breaks the running surface at a defined point. That makes the tail easy to slash or release out of turns, while still leaving surface area behind the step for float in pow. On firm snow: feels shorter, looser, playful. In deep snow: feels longer, balanced, surfy. This tail unlocks a ski that?s equal parts carver and slasher, giving you the freedom to pivot, spray, or lock into a carve depending on the terrain.

ROCKER PROFILE - FLAT IS FAST: The Poisson runs a traditional early rise in the tip for smooth turn initiation and float. But instead of loading up camber underfoot, we kept it nearly flat. Why? Because camber would've made this aggressive sidecut feel too locked in. Instead, precision is handled by the titanal and pop is added back with uni-directional carbon stringers. The flat camber = rally car turns in soft snow. In the tail, rocker stays minimal, letting you finish turns with a clean C-shape carve without feeling trapped.

UNI-CARBON STRINGERS - POP & ENERGY: With camber toned down, the Poisson utilizes carbon stringers to inject life. They snap energy back into each turn, so the ski never feels dead, balancing the suspension of the titanal with the pop of carbon.

THE POISSON EXPERIENCE: Think of the Poisson as a freeride scalpel. It's not about pointing straight through terrain, it's about slicing across it with power, control, and style. On groomers it feels precise and responsive; in deep snow it loosens up into surfy slashes. Fast, fluid, and confidence-inspiring, this is the ski for freeriders who want it all.
