Are you looking for an all mountain ski that's equally comfortable on hard pack, bumps or the occasional powder day? Look no further than the all new and redesigned 2027 K2 Mindbender 96 Ti Skis with the addition of both Dark Matter Technology (DMT) and Titanal I-Beam. K2 has been trying and failing for years to come out with a ski that competes with the versatility of the Volkl Mantra Skis and the Blizzard Rustler 9 and with the addition of DMT and Titanal I-Beam Technologies on the all new K2 Mindbender 96 Skis they have finally bridged the gap and came out with a ski that should be just as popular as the other heavy hitters in the All Mountain One Ski Quiver Ski category. If you want a lighter more maneuverable yet just as stable skiing ski as the Volkl Mantra with a smaller price tag the all new 2027 K2 Mindbender 96 Ski is a ski that should be toward the top of your list. We at Al's Ski Barn loved the way the Mindbener 96 Skis were playful and energetic while also being able to charge the whole mountain with ease. K2 really took the best of the Mindbender 99 Ti and the Mindbender 96 C and added DMT and Titanal I-Beam and created there most advanced and versatile ski that they have made in many years.
K2's Take:
Precision meets play. The 96 arcs clean on hardpack and dives into trees with confidence. Dark Matter kills chatter, Titanal I-Beam adds backbone, and the shape loves versatility. Anywhere, anytime this ski is ready.
TITANAL I-BEAM: The Titanal I-Beam is K2's proprietary ski construction technology designed to distribute metal exactly where it is needed for precision and power without adding unnecessary weight in the center
Dark Matter Tech: K2 Dark Matter Tech (DMT) is a specialized construction material developed by K2 Skis used to absorb vibrations and eliminate high-frequency chatter in all-mountain and freeride skis. It provides the stability and dampening typically found in heavy metal sheets, but without the excess weight. Instead of using full sheets of metal or traditional alloys, K2 engineers created a proprietary composite material consisting of polyurethane (PU/TPU) injected with stainless steel powder. This material is molded into "pucks" or targeted mass weights that are strategically placed along the ski's edges, directly over the tips and tails.
