'08 Dynastar PX 12 Ti JIB Ski Bindings w/Brake Options
The new PX 12 Ti JIB is, without a doubt, THE freestyle binding. The PX technology is especially adapted for freestyle use. The suspended heel cup, an exclusive Look concept, provides the most elastic travel available (25mm) to create a high degree of tolerance without compromising safety. Energy transmission and return have been impressively increased in this new generation of bindings to create a rebound effect especially appreciated in the pipe and park. In order to design an even better binding, the Dynastar PX 12 Ti JIB was developed based on the experience of our international team riders. The result? The binding is mounted on a 3mm shock absorber to absorb all types of landings in the park, pipe and backcountry. The PX 12 JIB 12: let it rip...without losing your skis!!!
The Dynastar PX 12 Ti JIB ski binding is one of Looks most popular for use with high performance skis including all twin tips and backcountry powder skis. The heel piece lateral arms are angled down to apply greater pressure to the edge of the ski. This creates more power going directly from skier to ski with less energy loss. The bindings forward pressure has been increased 30%, which dramatically enhances the interface between boot and binding. The increase of pressure influences ski behavior, which improves rebound and responsiveness.
The 40% increase in torsional stiffness translates into less play between the boot and binding and a dramatic improvement in the transfer of power to the snow. The new dual action III toe piece has a reinforced housing in high stress areas, which improves the overall structural integrity. This reinforced housing on the Rossi/Look FKS and PX bindings allowed Look/Dynastar/Rossi to strengthen the torsion bar interface, which facilitates greater torsional rigidity in the toe piece.
The Look/Rossignol/Dynastar design also has better contact with the boot than regular hinge-type heel pieces- when you click into a Dynastar binding, you feel noticeably more connected to the ski than you do in most bindings- steering impulses are instantly transmitted from boot to ski.
Rossignol and Dynastar/Look combine that classic turntable heel with an ultra-modern, ultra-compact multi directional release toe piece that also has high elastic travel and a solid feel.
Dynastar warranties its bindings for four years from date of purchase. If you mount a new pair of Rossignol or Dynastar skis with Rossignol / Dynastar bindings, Rossignol / Dynastar will add a year to the ski’s warranty.
