One of the better looking skis we have seen is the 2012 Volkl Nanuq AT Skis. It shares the shape of the 2011 Volkl Mantra yet it is lightweight thanks to no metal. Want a lightweight AT sk ithat will float, then the Volkl Nanuq is an excellent choice.With the addition of tip rocker to the '12 Volkl Nanuq Skis it makes this ski even more versatile than previous years models. At 96mm in the waist it still has plenty of float and can also be used as a one ski quiver especially for Northeast Backcountry Skiing. If you mostly do yor skiing in the West then we would suggest getting something wider such as the all new Volkl Nunataq Skis if you are more worried about the trip down then you are about the trip up.
