The 2011 -2012 Rossignol S3 Freeride Skis are going to be a huge hit for the 2012 ski season thanks to an all new feature called Powder Turn Rocker. Powder Turn Rocker allows the ski to float more easily in powder while giving it the ability to charge hard on the groomers. If you are looking for a one ski quiver ski the Rossignol S3 Freeride Ski is one that you really should consider. We were really impressed here at Al's Ski Equipment Barn at how well the S3 did at speed considering it has no metal. The '11 Rossignol S3 Skis sold out early so we expect the '12 Rossignol S3 skis to sell out even quicker now that people know just how versatile they are.

Powder Turn Rocker is used in both the S3 and the S7 skis. Powder Turn Rocker combines both traditional camber with reverse camber. The reverse camber allows for more versatility, rebound, boost, and ease-of-use than conventional skis. The traditional camber underfoot delivers power, energy and grip under foot where you need it most. The reverse camber at the tip and tail delivers more flotation, easier steering and more forgiveness. The combination of the two allows you to ski better in all conditions the mountain can throw at you.

Mounting Point Thank you for your purchase of the Freestyle/Freeride skis. Rossignol offers a variety of mounting points on the skis in their factory collection. They range from a factory suggested mid-sole mark to core center. This is the way it works, the more park skiing you do, the further ahead you want to be. The more freeride skiing you do the closer to the mid-sole mark you should be. Most of our customers have gone with Standard for Freeride and Standard for Park.
