The Rossignol Axial 2 120 ski binding is one of Rossignol's most popular for use with high performance skis including all twin tips and backcountry powder skis. The heel piece lateral arms are angled down to apply greater pressure to the edge of the ski. This creates more power going directly from skier to the ski edge, with less energy loss.
We just know they work! The 2012 Rossignol Axial 2 120 gets rid of the spring loaded sliding AFD and replaced it with a fixed 72mm wide AFD platform. The feel on wider Freeride/Powder skis is even better than before and urban jibbers don't have to worry about dirt getting into the springs of the AFD, and the sturdy 72mm AFD platform gives you way better rail and box feel.
