One of the best selling All Mountain Skis of all time has been the Volkl Mantra Skis. The 2012 Volkl Mantra Skis have undergone there biggest change since Volkl introduced the ski. With a 98mm waist and Tip Rocker the all new and improved 2012 Volkl Mantra Skis are designed for the all mountain skier that wants a ski that will perform well in all conditions whether it be new snow or if you are just skiing the very side of the trail where everyone else has pushed all the good snow just for you. The Tip Rocker allows for easier skiing in deeper snow and for quicker edge to edge turns along with better edge hold than previous model Mantra's. Volkl has made an effort to make the 2012 Volkl Mantra more like the Line Prophet 98 which was its biggest competition. Now that they are even more similar skis the decision now comes down more to which graphic you like more! The biggest difference between the 2 is that the Volkl Mantra has more of a GS feel to it as where the Prophet 98 and 100 skis have a tighter turn radius. Both are excellent skis and honestly you can not go wrong with either ski.
