The Volkl Aura and its 96mm waist is back for 2012 and is now being made with Tip Rocker. Tip Rocker allows the ski to have better float in powder and crud while still having great edge hold on groomers. If you are more use to the feeling of a race ski with no rocker at all you and that is what you want then look for an older model of the Volkl Aura Skis. However, we at Al's Ski Equipment Barn really enjoy the versatility that rocker gives the ski. Some people will notice while others will not but we have been skiing rocker skis for over 5 years now and can honestly say non of us own any skis with out rocker.
