The Elan S12 is Elan's highest end radical sidecut ski alongside the all new Ripstick Ski. The S12 is for the accoplished skier who is looking for a ski with a ton of energy and a need for speed. A stiff flex and rock solid torsional rigidity allow this ski to be put to the test on the firmest and steepest terrain. The Elan S12 ski is a little quicker edge to edge, but does take more effort than the Ripstick to ski all-mountain.

The integrated damping system has improved vibration control in all the Elan's skis. The Express technology significantly increases and enhances performance of the ski; by varying the thickness of the X-PRESS bars Elan has been able to control the torsion of the skis without inhibiting flex, thus giving you a ski that flexes well, with quick turn initiation that holds on firm snow conditions.

The Elan S12 Expert ski comes integrated with the Fusion binding. The binding is fixed into the ski by two free gliding plates, which are connected to the ski at one central point. This allows the binding to float naturally as the ski flexes. The result: Smooth, powerful turns, excellent control and perfect edge grip over the entire length of the ski.
